MATSULU – The only Nkomazi sugar guru TSB has proved to be the best soccer development agency in the Mpumalanga province. That has also helped to gear up the community as the country will be hosting the world biggest soccer show, the 2010 soccer World Cup. Five years ago the company introduced the Selati Super Cup Tournament dubbed “Iyanongotela”. The only lucrative soccer tournament has brought back the love of the beautiful game to many soccer lovers in the Nkomazi region and abroad. The tournament saw many young soccer players fully involved in the faculty of sports, and some even got chances to showcase their Godgiven talent to professional soccer teams within the country. Last year the company inaugurated the Sukumani Sidlale soccer tournament at Matsulu. The tournament has also proved to be a loved soccer spectacular. Although the Nkomazi Selati Super Cup 2009 episode has ended, the Matsulu Sukumani Sidlale tournament has drawn the attention of many soccer lovers including Nkomazi residents who travel all the way to Matsulu. Last weekend soccer lovers converged at Matsulu at Emoyeni soccer field. On Saturday soccer lovers saw from all over the Ehlanzeni region cheering for the best teams, with the likes of Matsulu City Movers, Mbombela Real Stars, Litsemba and Real Madrid where one the district’s master mind Sam Zunguza is chasing it. From Saturday all the teams were fighting for places in the quarter finals. All the other games were judged in a point system from the top 32 teams that affiliated. Saturday was the knockout date where we saw the likes of Bhazooka being eliminated from the race. On the 18th of July at Moyeni soccer field soccer lovers will see the teams in the top 8 paving their way to the finals, which will be played on the 10th of August. Although the Sukumani Sidlale tournament will be in progress, on the 25th of July Nkomazi will be having the Selati Super Cup “Iyanongotela5” awards, where Shongwe Chiefs is this year’s episode champions and Mangweni LTD took the second place. On the 18th Mbombela Real Stars will lock horns with Matsulu City Movers which will be a thrilling game, Super Arsenal will face Chelsea while, Tigers will pay against Real Madrid and Litsemba will be locking horns with Matsulu Legends. All the games start at 08:00 in the morning.
