The diski dancers from Johannesburg entertained about two thou-sand people last Friday at the Inkwazi plaza. Diski dance is the offcial 2010 FIFA World    Cup dance and Spar Malel-ane took it upon them to cre-
ate awareness for the World    Cup in the Nkomazi region. A variety of activities were performed on the day and fun was had by all.

Teams com-peted in street soccer and people learned to diski dance. Many people went home with
prizes.  Mdu-duzi Mthapuli from Malelane and a learner at Suikerland High school was chosen the best
diski dancer of the day and won a hamper from Spar.   Ligwalagwala FM was also in attendance at the Football Friday bash. Million Shon-gwe was select-ed as the shop-ping voucher winner by the Ligwalagwala FM programme
manager, Alex Nkosi. Because he was wear-ing a Bafana Bafana jersey, he went home with a R500 voucher to Spar.
Dance leader Kedibone Moleko, from Johannesburg, expressed their satisfaction with the event.  “We are hap-
py about the manner in which the spectators responded to us,” said Moleko.
The spectators thanked the diski dancers for teaching them the dance they always see on TV.  “We are very hap-
py to be taught how to dance. To me it’s like a dream come true,” said one spectator.
