DRIEKOPPIES – Driekoppies Mbokodo Wonderous has advanced to the Castle Lite elite league. Wonderous has joined the 4 Nkomazi teams that are campaigning in the Castle Lite leage which are Buffelspruit All Blacks, Mangweni Manchester, Block C Blue Birds and KaMhlushwa Vultures. Wonderous qualified from playing a string of games over the weekend where the 13 streams of the region embarked on play-offs. Wonderous played Block A Naughty Boys on Monday after becoming the champions in the Nkomazi West stream. Wonderous started their journey with that Madladla Black Movers on Saturday where they won by 3-2 and proceeded to Magogeni Liverpool the same day where they won on penalties. On Sunday Wonderous locked horns with well known Schoemansdal Junior Aces where Mbokodo came on top on penalty shootout after the one goal all draw. On Sunday Wonderous played the Nkomazi East champions Block A Naughty Boys who were not having mercy. Wonderous was the first to lead the way by a goal to nil, but Naughty Boys became naughty and score their equalizing goal. The half time reached with Wonderous leading again. The second half was for both teams as they were giving all they have. Naughty Boys equalized at the 76th minute and the game ended on a 2-2 all draw. Wonderous’ goalie Skaka made his team to reach those heights by saving Naughty Boys penalty. At the end Wonderous had a reason to celebrate for their new journey in football. “We’re going to set our feet to our most awaited elite league,” said Mbokodo Wandrous coach Shaks Shabangu. Over the moon Shabangu also said that they will not even have plans for the Castle Lite league yet, as most of the teams they are playing are in the Selati Super Cup and they will meet them before the league starts. Wonderous will also be playing their second round game of the Selati Super Cup. According to Shabangu, winning the Selati can boost them a lot as they can have money for traveling during the opening of the league. The Nkomazi league play-offs were made possible by the coordinator of the 13 streams of the Nkomazi region
