JEPPES REEF – Jeppes Reef Shongwe Chiefs FC held their championship party celebration last Saturday. Team owner Bridget Moyane said the party was to thank the players and everyone that played a role in bringing home the lucrative R55 000 they won last year. Chiefs thumbed Mangweni LTD at Driekoppies stadium to be crowned the 2009 Selati champions. The team awarded players who made a big input in the successful season. The most improved player was awarded to Jonathan Metiso. Eric Nkonde was named the most consistent and disciplined player. The golden boot for the leading goal scorer went to Lassy Ramulo. The goal of the tournament went to Ramulo. The player of the tournament was their goalie Johannes Manamel.
