The Selati Super Cup, “Iyanon-gotela6” draw has been done and many teams are now preparing according to their
fxtures.  Amongst the things that are building the anticipa-tion this year is the number of teams registered.  This year’s
tournament saw an increase of registering teams to 178 male teams.

The diski dancers from Johannesburg entertained about two thou-sand people last Friday at the Inkwazi plaza. Diski dance is the offcial 2010 FIFA World    Cup dance and Spar Malel-ane took it upon them to cre-
ate awareness for the World    Cup in the Nkomazi region. A variety of activities were performed on the day and fun was had by all.

HECTOSPRUIT – Teachers and the School Governing Body (SGB) of Driekoppies Combined School went to celebrate their excellent academic victory. In 2009’s metric results the school beat all of the schools in Khulangwane circuit to be number one with an 85 percent pass rate.

JEPPES REEF – Jeppes Reef Shongwe Chiefs FC held their championship party celebration last Saturday. Team owner Bridget Moyane said the party was to thank the players and everyone that played a role in bringing home the lucrative R55 000 they won last year. Chiefs thumbed Mangweni LTD at Driekoppies stadium to be crowned the 2009 Selati champions.

JEPPES REEF – Jeppes Reef Shongwe Chiefs head coach Aaron Shongwe has recently promised to defend the Selati Super Cup.

Shongwe was speaking to the Nkomazi Voice as the 2010 “Iyanongotela6”, which is the only lucrative and well-known and supported Nkomazi tournament, will kick start on 27 February 2010.
