BLOCK C – A man in his early 30s raped a 17 year old learner who was on her way to school last Monday morning. The suspect, who resides in Block B, raped the 17 year old in his friend’s one roomed house. After the incident the 17 year old victim flew out of the house crying for help. Villagers heard her and rushed to make sure the perpetrator did not run away. The villagers found the suspect and he was beaten by the community before the police arrived at the scene. Once the Tonga police arrived they arrested the suspect. “We warn rape perpetrators to stop it because these days things are even worse for rape cases,” said the Tonga police station Sergeant Mzwandile Nyambi. A rape case has been opened at the Tonga police station. |
