KaMhlushwa- A young girl attending school at Suikerland in Malelane has been missing since early this year. Euginia has been staying with her grandparents since she was young, but they believe she left this year to Johannesburg. Her grandmother, Sannath Sibiya, is crying for her granddaughter. “I really need my granddaughter back home. I do not know the reason that she left us,” said her grandmother.
Gogo Sibiya said that all she wants is her granddaughter to come home so that she can finish school and then she will be free to do whatever she wants in life. “Things are no longer like our days where by if you are from a poor family you would not proceed to tertiary institutions. Now if your metric results are good you get a bursary and fulfill your dream,” added Sibiya. According to Sannath Sibiya, she tried to get assistance from the Nelspruit police station via telephone, but they told her that there are many reports of young girls missing so it is difficult for them to follow up on the case. Nkomazi Voice advised Sibiya to open a case with a local police station. |
| Procrastination, the thief of time |
It’s funny how time fies. Just when we were still on honeymoon, with all the fanfare surrounding the magical 2010, the frst quarter of the year is almost gone.
