MANGWENI-  Umer, a 22 year old shop owner, originally from Pakistan, was shot to death in 9 February around
midnight in Mangweni.  5 thugs broke into the shop and demanded money from Umer and his father.

After hand-
ing over the money, Umer was shot on the spot in front of his father.  His fa-ther’s hand was broken and a security
guard at the scene walked away with minor injuries.  Umer was buried last Thursday afternoon.
A case of murder was opened at the Tonga police station.  “We are still in-vestigating the case and no one has been arrested so far,” said Tonga po-lice station’s spokesperson Mzwandile Nyambi.  He further pleaded for people with information to come to the station so that the suspects can be arrested and justice can be served.
