As young as they are, they can think and act. The SCORE Cup of heroes’ dubbed “Indzabuko” group has done what old and rich people could not do. On Monday this group donated clothes to the Thembalethu Home Based Care orphans. “We saw that as winter is approaching our peers might need good clothes to wear,” said the group leader, Thabo Shongwe. The group which is dominated by scholars saw it as their responsibility to clothe the less fortunate. According to the group leader, their other aim to give is that they want to become friendly with the orphans. “We want to make sure that they don’t feel isolated from the situation they are in, we also want to show them that we care about them,” said Nokwanda Themba. The young Good Samaritans also envisaged that the group also needs them, “we are playing different kinds of recreational games so we also want our friends to join the Cup of Heroes,” continued Themba. Cup of Heroes is based in Schoe-mansdal and they are playing street soccer, volleyball, Netball and cultural activities. |
