Greetings to Nkomazi Voice readers, it is with content to make this much articulated contribution to forum readers.
Firstly I would like to quote one of the most learned scholars, Prof M W Makgoba AKA Poki: “As long as people are alive to ask questions, answers will be sought and in many instances it will be found.” HE went on to say that there’s merit in asking all the good questions while failing to provide answers, like Socrates.
The book of Hosea chapter 4, verse 6 states that: “…...’my people are destroyed because for the lack on knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being my priest.” Apparently no nation or individual would allow to be rejected by God. That makes knowledge the utmost importance for people to enjoy God’s favour. There’s the adage, “knowledge is power”
What is knowledge by the way? In order to understand knowledge, it is important to understand the “purer” and “basic” knowledge. Individually and collective, people should educate themselves, without which there will be no future for the country. One soccer start once said, “Humility is one of the values I most cherish, as well as education and instruction. On the day I will have my child, those are the main principles I will pass to him or her.” It is true that the country faces many problems, apart from skills problems.
To the inhabitants of NKomazi, can we say that we are effectively helping to address the pressing issues of our time? Issues such as the HIV/AIDS, High rate of pregnancy among scholars and lower number of scholars who progress to tertiary institutions. Our paper has a bigger role to play, in educating, transforming and inspiring the nation.
Kind Regards, Sabelo.
