The Schoemansdal police salvaged some pride when they walloped were up against Mbabane police by 3 goals to1.In the final Schoemansdal faced the blazing Peak’s peak. The hosts were so resolute in their approach that Schoemansdal could not put together decent passes. Sensing defeated Schoemansdal upped their game and they got their just reward when they drew first blood. The Swazis lost their tenacity and allowed their visitors to dictate terms. In no time the scoreboard read 3-1 in favour of the visitors. Schoemansdal ran out as overall winners, earning themselves a floating trophy and some respect for the country. “We were very hungry for the first win of this trophy. We are very sorry for our fellow friends KaNyamazane for losing in the semifinal. We came prepared for these games and our boys were never intimidated by the partisan crowd. I’m really proud of this team,” said Cedric Sgudla, the Schoemansdal police station coach. |
