MBUZINI- Thoko Nsingwane, 37, and her son Mlungisi Shabangu, 15, were arrested by Mbuzini Police for importation of illegal goods.

Police raided the woman’s house in Bhaca section, Mbuzini and seized tobacco with an estimated street value of R100 000.

Nsingwane and her partner-in-crime were arrested on Sunday night during a police patrol and 27 bundles of Raming Gold tobacco were found. It is alleged that the tobacco was ready to be sold at bargain prices in the local black market.

Mbuzini police’s Inspector Solomon Sambo confirmed the arrests and said that the duo will appear soon in the Tonga Magistrates Court.
