Living with HIV 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Nkomazi Voice readers, patriots and fellow brothers, receive my warm and revolutional greetings. Once again It is with much bliss to address this spendidly articulate message to you all.

Dear reader,
Llast month I passed in Mbabane and bought a newspaper there, Times of Swaziland, I was touched by the news headlines that said, "There will be no adults in 2025." They said that the life expectancy has deteriorated as a result of this deadly desease. What came into my mind was, how are going to admonish this situation because for over a decade the government, through media and public broadcast, had been preaching ABC. The situation is not getting any better. One will argue and say why I quote Swaziland where as we are in the republic. It is mainly because they are next door, what affects them affects us.

Accepting HIV positive has always been not easy, especially to us youth because we have dreams to realise, we are led by pride and other things. One man nearly killed his wife who was suggesting that he goes and check. I ask myself where is this country heading to....What are we going to do because this dreadful desease is diminishing our lifespans.

I can go a long length talking about HIV and AIDs but we know correctly that you do not have to be coming from America or Mesapotamia Island or even from Embojeni (like me) to know that HIV kills ordinary people having sex the normal way. Youth must be wary and vigilant in the fight against this because it requires not ten years or to be a fool or even to have intellect that was in Albert Einstein to be positive.

Having written the above, i would like to end by encouraging youth to denounce openly those who are careless and reckless. About accepting, One Pastor in Mankayane onced said, "Kukhala akusiti ntfombatane, uma imitsi umitsi", what he mearnt about this provoking statement is that onced it is done, there is no returning back, you just have to bear the consequences. Amen.

Regards,
Sabelo G,
(aka) Mkhwanazi
