Advancing prospective students (Part 2) 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I salute with earnest and upmost respect to all Nkomazi Voice readers, again it is with perfect bliss to write, "when all else fails, write".

The month of october means exams for students (learners) across the country. It is only those who carry yearly assesments, and those their predicates and Dp's refused that are exempt from exams. One toyota manager on a motivational speech onced said, "you actually create the conditions where things have to work to make it work", some people will fail the exams not because they are stupid or what but because the surrounding or environment they are in is not conducive for proper learning. It has been and it will always be said that the onus or responsibility vests on the student. It is thefore his/her responsibility to remove obstacles, hinders that might distract exams.

Education requires dedication, in the absense of that, intellectuals also fails. We have a problem with regards to the other gender because statistics show that a large number of girls enrol for pre-schools yet at tertiary a large number of boys graduate. Last week we were launching a Mpumalanga Student Association at UKZN to my surprise only three girls were coming from Lowveld out of so many boys who attended. What is happening to our girls, are they not realising that our country has moved from the era where one had to work to support a family. Pity because our current president is campaigning loud for a female successor question is, are they ready. I am not in politics I was just giving an example on the importance of education especifically to women who seem to be negative. Part three of this subject is coming next week.

Regards,
Sabelo G,
(aka) Signor
