Mugabe and his Ally 4 Months ago
Nkomazi Voice forum readers, receive my splendid revolutional salute.

I try to shun the news this days, because I am sick and tired of hearing the Zim fiasco. Initially, the Zanu-PF was a mass _base_d organisation, it was transformed by Mugabe into an organisation which is completely at variant with the people’s wishes. When he came became a Prime Minister in 1980, he promised the nation that he will rid it the legacy of colonialism and structural inequality that ravaged the new nation. In 1982 he was at war with the late Joshua Nkomo aka Mqabuko, a popular Zapu; who was loved by both Shona and Ndebele. He commanded gigantic support and respect among the people of Zim. He (Mugabe) blackened Mr Nkomo’s name; called him a bloodthirsty terrorist and a corrupt politician. In 1983 he enlisted the help of the 5th Brigade in what was known in Shona as Gukurahundi. The 5th Brigade was a paramilitary unit which was trained by the North Koreans. When the 1985 elections approached, it was clear that Zapu was immobilised by this unconventional war.

In 1987 Nkomo capitulated by signing the Unity accord and that signalled the death knell for the existence of his party and his life. His death in 1999 was a formality. In 1988, Like Mbeki, Mugabe sacked and purged everyone he though was on his way to his plans of making Zimbabwe a one party state. As you will be aware that Willowvale scandal that saw Mr. Nyagumbo expelled and prominent Zanu-PF cabinet Minister killed in a bogus suicide. In 1992 Mugabe told whites that their land will be expropriate but because Zanu-PF popularity was still intact he postponed that to 1998 when the war veterans threatened to boycott elections. He ensure that he sent to exile, jail and out of this realm the people who were opposed to him. He _embed_ded the media with his diehard supporters and many academics namely Professor Jonathan Moyo supported him from the ivory towers of Wits University.
Having said all this, I have a reason to believe that Mbeki and Mugabe has one thing in common, zeal for power such that they can do anything to stop those opposed to them. People are hungry in Zim yet he buys Arms, for what?

Eskom asked government grant 10 years ago Mbeki said, “not now, later” now we have less electricity. Like Vavi always says, its life Hitler and Stalin…

Kind Regards,
Khwanati
