I salute all Nkomazi Voice forum readers, It is always with perfect pleasure and bliss to write.
There forces of darkness have been at play recently, newspapers in KZN were running a story about two ghost students who were apprehended during the exams. People have lost morals, how on earth can you joll and bash the whole year and expect that someone will write the exams for you. It certainly will take you nowhere because when we talk about tertiay we talk about a place where brainless never survives. I do not want to know the reasons but writting exams for other person in his absentia is fraud, that person should be forfeited the qualification and be thrown into jail. (both of them).
It is advisable that people should strive hard for their own lives, we grew up listening to Sgayoyo Magonga saying, "Nguleyo naleyo ndvodza iyawudla umgwaja wesagila sayo". Funny how people use others for their own expediency, and funny how people receive corrupt money in exchange for fraud. Some do not receive money but sexual favours (Heh, you want to say Sabelo said it).
As students are writting, there are evil forces at work that work tireless to make others forget, cause endless headachs and much stress. Some have family problems some have relationship problems. I am surprised by those who worry about relationship problems when they should worry about their future.
Having said all this, I would like to appeal to parents and the community in large to show support to all learners, and that the learners must learn the saying that says, "Market place problems should be left in the market place", meaning that an exam room is not a place of problems but a place where one has to retreave what he has learnt. December Mpapane (during my maths days) used to say, "If you think you are smart and fail to listen, you will be the last to come out of the exam room, and the only one to fail the exam." It was sad but true, imagine writting for a long time only to fail in the end.
I can rather write a novel but the onus is no longer on teachers but on students to show their worth. There world is waiting for them (Matriculants). The ball is in their courts, this is not time to sit down and say, "If it was January I should have done that, I should have done this."
Regards, Sabelo G,
