Image Story about the electricity failure at Naas Village a month ago, the said Nkomazi municipality went to the place to fix up the mess and now tears of joy are rolling down to the cheek of the residents.

More than 250 houses were experiencing a daily electricity cut and on top of that their electrical appliances were being damaged by electricity. Their problems were starting at about 17:30 until to 18:00 which resulted to the residents not perform any cooking. Last time the residents of the place accused the ward councilor only known to Nkomazi Voice as Geli for distancing herself on the difficulties and they have promised to take illegal steps against her. “We would like to withdraw our statement of embarking on an action as our grievances have been resolved amicably. A thumbs up for Nkomazi Voice, which voiced out our grievances, we are now enjoying to have good electricity after we were nearly electrified by electricity cables,” said a resident who preferred to be unnamed due to fear of victimization.

“They came to our place to address our electricity plight by placing a big transformer in our area, we are now divided compare to last time where we were using one transformer.

Before anything was done, they accused us of going to the media to express our grievances,” said the community spokesman, Richard Mahlalela. These residents have been living with electricity cut for the past years. And during that time no one cares about the people’s problem until the intervention of Letishisa Bhe!
