MALELANE – Selati Super Cup participants, especially players of teams who partake in this lucrative tourney, had the privilege of brushing shoulders with politicians, business moguls, PSL players, and radio and print media personalities.
All this, took place during the awards ceremony held at Malelane Country Lodge, last week Saturday. “This is a day not only for the players, but also for those who made this tourney a success.
Many people contributed in the smooth running of the tourney, from the beginning to the last chapter and this is our way of honouring and acknowledge each and every one of them,” said the tourney’s facilitator, Kenneth Phiri.
This function, first of this nature was well attended to and even received the blessings of the Nkomazi Executive Mayor Johan Mavuso, Ehlanzeni Deputy Executive Mayor Selby Khumalo and Tsb Managing Director Hennie Snyman, Soccer personalities Lucas Thwala and Phumudzo Manenzhe.
Junior Aces’ deadly striker Musa ‘Sapula’ Mathaba was crowned Selati Super Cup’s player of the tourney, Mzwakhe Zulu crowned top goal scorer with 12 goals.
Mangweni Manchester’s coach Cliopas Mjoli was crowned coach of the tournament, with Aces’ Thapelo Shongwe as Goalkeeper of the tourney. Shongwe conceded only 3 goals.
Langeloop Junior Pirates went home with a soccer kit donated by Sneakers Edition. |
