This day allows workers from various departments, whether in the private sector or governmental sector, to wear their own casual clothes. But there are conditions involved, namely, to wear casual you have to buy a certain ribbon or selected stickers and the funds are donated to charity. Schoemansdal police were not to be left out on this joyous and fun filled day as they also wore their casual attire instead of the police uniform. “We are supporting this initiative because we want to give something to the people who are living with disabilities, this is also the platform were people can see that as police we care and move with what is happening in the country” said Captain Robert Sibiya. Some people, awaiting trial, were surprised to see male officers wearing clothes like females and others wearing clothes like school kids. Though they were dressed like kids or females, adherence to the law was tight the police were taking no nonsense from thugs. |
