MANGWENI- Mohammed Nadeem Sadiq (31), a Pakistan native, has disappeared after allegations of arson were leveled against him.

This follows the partial burning of Mohammed Basaas’s shop which is metres away from Sadiq’s. Basaas has since complained to the police at Tonga. Speaking to Nkomazi Voice, in the last edition, he fingered Sadiq as the main suspect because of his behaviour. Basaas claimed that Sadiq had on many occasions sent people to spy on his pricing. In another instance he is said to have sent his brother to inquire about the sale of Basaas’ shop. This incensed Basaas as he claimed that his shop had never been, at any point, up for sale.

Now Sadiq has disappeared and this strengthens allegations that the fire that razed down part of Basaas’s shop had everything to do with him. However, Sadiq had pointed to this journalist that he wanted to sell his shop and move to Matsulu where he hopes to do business. He has attained South African citizenship after marrying a woman from Steenbok. The woman is currently enrolled for a nursing course in Johannesburg where she now stays.
