Mpumalanga’s capital Town, Nelspruit will be the center of entertainment when it host the Arts and Culture festival.

First of its kind, the organizers of the event expect a full house and believe that the fest will be a success.

“We are not only expecting a full house but also different stakeholders, such as Tsb, Kruger national park, government departments and other companies to join venture to host a successful show,” said one of the regional organizers, Zakhele Khoza.

He went on stating their main aim, which is to unleash artistic talents and cultural development, especially to the previously disadvantaged individuals and communities.

“We want to give our youngsters a chance to showcase their talents, something which was previously reserved for a certain minority,” he explained.

Various districts are currently hosting auditions to select best groups and individuals who will partake during this one-day Arts and Culture fest.

Some of the categories include, dance, drama, music, craft and traditional dances such as gumboots, Sibhaca and umbhologo.
