Boys of Christ was established in 2003 June by two young people from Schoemansdal, Martin Mavuso and Raymond Willis.
According to Muntu Mathebula the group spokesperson, the main aim for establishing the group was to preach the word of God through music.
They then released their first debut album titled “Singumlilo KaJehova” back in 2004. The boys didn’t stop there, instead they followed with another hot sizzling album titled “Dwala Lami” which was recorded and released last year.
“We are looking forward to release another album early next year,” said the group spokes person.
On the day the group also awarded the workaholic members of the group with medals and trophies.
People who support the gospel singing group by transport and other musical equipment also were rewarded for their support and loyalty.
People like the Executive Mayor of the Nkomazi sub-region, Johan Mavuso, clr. Mogale, Rev. A.B. Vilakazi and Mrs. Zodwa Thwala both from V.O.C and Lungile “Sibukubukwana” Mango from Ligwalagwala FM were also there to witness the celebration.
“This is a good thing to do, more specially by the youth,” said Johan Mavuso. Both of their albums are available at any music shop around South Africa and Swaziland.
The music is available in CD’s, DVD and cassettes.
They also invited people who want them at any occasion like funerals or weddings for free to contact Muntu Mathebula on 072 316 9260 or Mbongeni Shongwe on 072 212 8306.
