The unsavoury performance of the class of 2009 has been widely reported but this may seem unfair to those learners who have excelled. Despite DD Mabuza Comprehensive School’s overall below-par performance there are learners who are riding the crest of the academic wave. One such learner is Hlophe Lindokuhle. She scored good marks in all her subjects but notably in Mathematics and Physical Science; two of the most challenging subjects. She now has her sights on a tertiary qualification. “I know I will do well at any tertiary institutions,” she said.
